Arcvideo in The 20th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition
On April 18th, The 20th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition 2023 opened at the National Exhibition Center. Arcvideo officially launched its 5D immersive smart cabin solution, creating a "new entertainment, new office" experience inside the vehicle. At the exhibition, the 5D immersive smart cabin solution attracted numerous spectators, especially the immersive experience and multi-screen interaction products.
01 Frame-level synchronization In-car displays are developing towards the trend of larger and more screens, which bring users more immersive audio-visual entertainment experience. During the trip, both the front and rear passengers can watch a movie or a sports game together, not only to pass the time but also to enhance communication and interaction among the occupants. However, different terminals may experience problems such as screen delay and lack of synchronization, which can affect the viewing experience. For example, in high-concurrency live broadcasting scenes like football matches, the front-row audience may already be cheering for a goal while the rear-row audience is still seeing the passing scenes. Although they are in the same space, they cannot sync experience. As one of the functions of the smart cabin, multi-screen frame synchronization technology enables the coordinated operation of different operating systems and terminal screens within the cabin, facilitating low-latency content transmission and synchronized playback. Combined with the three-dimensional sound capabilities integrated into the vehicle's infotainment system, it provides an immersive "being there" experience.
02 Immersive atmosphere Based on AI and multi-modal interaction technology, the immersive atmosphere expression acts as a "conductor" that precisely coordinates various experiential units inside the vehicle, collectively creating a comfortable and enjoyable driving experience. It enables the interplay between videos, sound effects, perfume, air conditioning, and seats, fully engaging our Viewing, Hearing, Motion, Smelling, Sensation, creating a comprehensive spatial "atmosphere." For instance, when watching a movie in the cabin, if the scene in the movie is at the beach, the immersive atmosphere expression module can release the sounds of gentle breeze and ocean waves, along with the scent of sea breeze. Simultaneously, the seat module can simulate movement, as if the occupants are riding on a ship sailing across the ocean together with the characters. By incorporating sensory experiences beyond audio-visual elements, immersive atmosphere expression makes the viewing space more realistic.
03 Multimodal interaction In this show, Arcvideo also introduced various application forms such as multimodal fusion interaction, AR-HUD holographic assistant, and 3D HMI, making smart cabins more immersive, intelligent, and safe. For example, the demonstrated cross-modal AIGC capability generates three-dimensional volume videos from static photos, catering to the viewing needs of spectators from any position and direction, providing a more vivid, immersive, and interactive experience. "We are confident to give a good service in this market." The product manager of Arcvideo mentioned on-site. The company has accumulated 20+ years of experience in the audio-visual field and started working on video as early as 1994. In the early days, they provided streaming media playback services for aircraft cabins. Now, they are integrating their years of technology and product development with the smart cabin scene, bridging the gap between the two fields. |
