Arcvideo Commander

Integrated scheduling system for deploying multiple transcoding servers

Arcvideo Commander is an integrated dispatching management system that is usually applied to the medium three unit or large five unit transcoder deployment. Commander supports the unified management of the system, which would take good advantage of Arcvideo transcoding device’s internal load balancing function. It effectively reduces the single point of failure of a single device deployment, and significantly improves system stability and security.

Cluster unified management

Cluster unified management

Arcvideo Commander is a management system which provides real-time monitoring, data analysis and an alarm system for all unified units to ensure the maximum stability.

Three-tier backup

Three-tier backup

Arcvideo Commander provides an M+N and 1+1 redundancy backup program to ensure the system will keep working after unusual events. Transcoding work is not interrupted by repair and replacement.

Unified resource management

Unified resource management

Arcvideo Commander manages the service abilities of each transcoder in the system, monitors the resource consumption and automatically uses quality priority, speed priority or a quality, speed-balanced strategy to dispatch the tasks according to the user’s configuration, and assign different needs of transcoding tasks to different devices.

Open interfaces

Open interfaces

Arcvideo Commander can manage transcoding clusters that contain a huge number of large-scale transcoding devices. It allows users to add new features and improve performance for the cluster by adding new servers or upgrading software/hardware. The whole process can be undertaken without interrupting normal transcoding.
